The Goblin Raid
And ill-fated rescue

The group was passing some time in Thesan’s Keep when they started hearing weird rumors about goblins wandering around near the city. And, of course, they soon found themselves in the middle of a goblin raid on the town.

A group of wolf-riding goblins abducted several townspeople. Most of the party chased after them and rescued the townspeople, but a series of ambushes set up by the goblin forces was too much for the group and Karland and Erynfin were captured while Beldan and Arkin fled with the formerly captive townsfolk.

The party set forth to defeat a monster and earn their initiation into the Hunters Guild.

They entered the forest near Thesan’s Keep, searching for a beast that had been stealing livestock (and the occasional farmer/racher). They found an area within the forest that was twisted by chaotic energies, and were attacked by some strange, blighted bush monsters, before they found their quarry, a horrifically mutated hippogriff.

The party bested the beast. A suitably impressed Rafe Egelen set off to Redfield and the Hunters Guild headquarters to make their initiation official (which would take a couple weeks), while the party stayed in Thesan’s Keep for a bit to resupply and see if the priests of the Thesan Temple could do anything about purifying the corrupted forest.
